The storms this week have left great conditions for the weekend and with the cold temps earlier this week, the powder is hanging around into the weekend. Some runs are now groomed packed powder with some powder shots here and there. "Storm" totals are Saturday night through Wednesday morning. It looks it will be warming up next week, so take in the powder this weekend! Here are some highlights for this weekend:

  • Sandia open now through Sunday.
  • Santa Fe has a fun event on Saturday.
  • Pajarito open Wednesday through Sunday and has weekday ticket deals and the Crazy Mother terrain park is now open.
  • Angel Fire has Marti Gras through Tuesday.
  • Red River has Marti Gras in the Mountains through Tuesday.
  • Sipapu has weekday ticket deals and the Ski Bike Festival is Saturday and Sunday.
  • Purgatory has the 50th anniversary celebration through Sunday.
  • Wolf Creek has another Local Appreciation Day on Sunday.
Sandia Peak

Notes: Now open Friday through Sunday. Tram access is available to the ski area. You can still save money on your tickets in two ways. The Peak Plus card is $69 and saves you $25 off on your daily ticket at Sandia or Santa Fe. The Six Pack of Fun is also still available for $369 which is 6 transferable all day tickets. Will be open Monday, February 15 for President's Day.

 

Santa Fe

Notes: The Boneyard Terrain Park is open. You can still save money on your tickets in two ways. The Peak Plus card is $69 and saves you $25 off on your daily ticket at Sandia or Santa Fe. The Six Pack of Fun is also still available for $369 which is 6 transferable all day tickets. The Santa Fe Fireball Rando Race is this Saturday. A backcountry hiking/climbing ski event where racers challenge each other to hike and ski the most challenging terrain at Ski Santa Fe. The course will offer single track kick turns, groomer skinning and downhill, challenging downhill tree skiing, and a stunning technical bootpack up Big Rocks. Race starts at 7:45a.

Pajarito

Notes: Open Wednesday through Sunday. Wednesdays are Car Load Days, where everyone in one car (up to six people) will skis or rides for $99. Thursdays are Local Appreciation Days, where tickets are $39 for adults, teens and seniors (a $10 savings), and $29 for kids. The Townsite Lift and terrain under it are open every Saturday and Sunday for the rest of the season. Pajarito's biggest terrain park, Crazy Mother, is now open for the first time in three years! With multiple jumps and one of the largest tabletops in the state, this park includes the mountain's biggest features.

 

Angel Fire

Notes: Don Diego Terrain Park is now open with 12 features. In all 4 terrain parks with 29 total features. Weekday ticket deals: Two for one Tuesday, Car Load Day on Wednesday (where up to 6 ski or ride for $50 total) and Local Appreciation Thursday (adult and teen tickets are $25 and kids tickets are $15). This weekend is the Ski Bike Festival with free lessons and demos on both Saturday and Sunday.

 

Red River

Notes: Pot O Gold Terrain Park is open and Hollywood park is now open. Mardi Gras in the Mountains starts Thursday. The Gator Plunge and Children’s Parade are at noon at the Main Chalet on Saturday, followed by the Rail Jam, Torchlight Parade and fireworks at 7 pm that night. Several other parties and events continue through Tuesday.
